Graduates from the Dubai Campus are employed in hundreds of prestigious organizations worldwide, reflecting the institution’s global reputation and strong industry connections.Role Description The Postdoctoral Teaching and Research Fellowship is a full-time, on-site role based at BITS Pilani, Dubai Campus. The fellow will conduct independent and collaborative research in their specialization, publish in reputable journals and conferences, and contribute to ongoing projects within the department. They will participate in teaching activities such as delivering lectures, assisting in course design, guiding laboratory sessions, evaluating student performance, and mentoring undergraduate and postgraduate students. The role includes contributing to grant proposals, building industry and academic collaborations, and supporting the enhancement of curriculum and pedagogy. Fellows are expected to actively engage in academic events, seminars, and departmental meetings, and to promote a positive, inclusive learning and research environment.Qualifications Doctoral degree (PhD) in a relevant engineering, science, or technology discipline from a recognized institution.Strong research background demonstrated through peer-reviewed publications, conference presentations, or funded projects.Experience in university-level teaching, including lecturing, laboratory instruction, and student mentoring.Ability to design and conduct rigorous experiments or studies, analyze data, and use appropriate research tools and methodologies.Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly.Evidence of collaborative work, ability to contribute to interdisciplinary projects, and interest in industry-linked research.Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the capacity to balance teaching, research, and service responsibilities.Commitment to ethical research practices, academic integrity, and fostering an inclusive, diverse academic environment.Prior experience supervising student projects or dissertations is an advantage.Experience in securing or contributing to research funding and grants is desirable.
