Power BI Data Analyst

Job DescriptionExperience: 4+ YearsQuantumtech Inc. is seeking an experienced Power BI Data Analyst with strong expertise in data analysis, visualization, dashboard development, and business intelligence. The ideal candidate will work closely with business and technical stakeholders to analyze complex datasets, identify trends, develop actionable insights, and build scalable Power BI reporting solutions.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards and reports for business stakeholders.Gather, analyze, and translate business requirements into meaningful data visualizations and reporting solutions.Connect Power BI to multiple data sources including SQL databases, Excel, cloud platforms, APIs, and enterprise applications.Develop optimized data models using relationships, calculated columns, measures, and hierarchies.Create complex DAX measures and calculations to support business KPIs and analytical requirements.Use Power Query and M Language for data transformation, cleansing, and preparation.Analyze large and complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, anomalies, and business opportunities.Write and optimize SQL queries for data extraction, validation, reconciliation, and analysis.Develop executive-level dashboards, operational reports, scorecards, and KPI tracking solutions.Perform data validation and ensure accuracy, consistency, and completeness across reports.Collaborate with business analysts, data engineers, developers, and business stakeholders.Conduct ad-hoc analysis and provide actionable insights to support business decisions.Implement Row-Level Security (RLS) and appropriate access controls within Power BI.Manage Power BI workspaces, datasets, semantic models, refresh schedules, gateways, and deployments.Troubleshoot Power BI performance, refresh, connectivity, and data-quality issues.Optimize dashboards and datasets for improved performance and usability.Document reporting requirements, data definitions, calculations, and business rules.Support deployment and migration of Power BI reports across development, testing, and production environments.Required Skills4+ years of experience in Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, or related roles.Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Power BI.Strong proficiency in:Power BI DesktopPower BI ServiceDAXPower QueryData ModelingSQLReports and DashboardsKPI DevelopmentData VisualizationStrong understanding of relational databases and data structures.Experience developing complex SQL queries involving joins, aggregations, CTEs, subqueries, and window functions.Strong knowledge of dimensional modeling concepts including Star Schema and Snowflake Schema.Experience integrating Power BI with multiple enterprise data sources.Strong understanding of data cleansing, validation, transformation, and reconciliation.Experience configuring scheduled refreshes, gateways, workspaces, and dataset permissions.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Ability to translate complex datasets into clear business insights.Excellent communication skills with the ability to work directly with technical and non-technical stakeholders.Preferred SkillsExperience with Microsoft Fabric.Experience with Azure Data Services such as:Azure SQL DatabaseAzure Data FactoryAzure Synapse AnalyticsAzure Data LakeKnowledge of Databricks or Snowflake is a plus.Experience with Python or R for data analysis is preferred.Experience with Excel, Power Pivot, and advanced Excel functions.Familiarity with Tableau or other BI visualization platforms.Knowledge of ETL/ELT processes and data warehousing concepts.Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.Microsoft Power BI Data Analyst certification (PL-300) is preferred.About Quantumtech Inc.Quantumtech Inc. is a technology consulting and workforce solutions company supporting professionals across software engineering, cloud, data, artificial intelligence, enterprise applications, cybersecurity, and emerging technologies.We focus on building transparent and consultant-friendly engagements while connecting skilled technology professionals with enterprise opportunities across the United States.Why Quantumtech?Day-1 NOC SupportWe provide clear and responsive documentation support for eligible consultants.Low & Transparent MarginOur engagement and payroll model is designed around transparency, providing consultants better visibility into billing rates, payroll, employer costs, and margins.$500 Referral BonusRefer a qualified consultant and earn a $500 referral bonus.Payroll CalculatorGet better visibility into your estimated payroll and engagement structure using the Quantumtech Payroll Calculator:https://quantumtechus.com/payroll-calculator/ApplyInterested candidates can apply directly or contact:
