The role focuses on transforming curated governance metrics and metadata delivered by the engineering team via Databricks and Microsoft Purview into actionable, user-friendly visualizations for business and technical stakeholders. This position is critical in surfacing insights for data quality, lineage, access, retention, compliance, cost, usage, and overall governance performance.· Experience: 6+ years in BI/dashboard development with deep Power BI expertise· Design and build interactive Power BI dashboards for governance areas including:· Data Quality· Lineage· Job Monitoring· Access & Permissions· Query Cost Analyzer· Data Usage & Consumption· Data Retention & Lifecycle· Policy Enforcement Tracker· Data Sensitivity Heat Map· Governance KPI Scorecard· Model and integrate data from Databricks Delta tables, Purview-exported metadata, and other curated governance sources delivered by the engineering team.· Implement drilldowns and role-based views linking high-level KPIs to granular, record-level details (e.g., tables, columns, timestamps, severity) captured in governance pipelines.· Transform, clean, and join governance metrics for clear, meaningful visualization using Power Query, DAX, and dataflows.· Collaborate with data stewards, compliance leads, and business users to refine requirements and ensure dashboards are intuitive, accurate, and actionable.· Optimize dashboard performance for large datasets and complex governance metrics.· Document dashboard logic, source mapping, and usage guidelines for handover and adoption.· Configure and maintain dashboard security, including Row-Level Security (RLS) where applicable.· Troubleshoot and resolve data or integration issues in collaboration with the data engineering team.Required Qualifications· Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, or related field.· 6+ years of experience building business intelligence dashboards, with at least 3 years dedicated to Power BI.· Strong hands-on experience with Power BI Desktop, Power Query, DAX, dataflows, and Power BI Service.· Proven track record designing enterprise-level dashboards with complex data models and role-based access.· Experience integrating data from Azure Databricks and working with Purview-exported metadata.· Familiarity with data governance concepts including data quality, lineage, access controls, retention, compliance, and usage analytics.· Strong data modeling and transformation skills.· Excellent communication and collaboration skills to bridge technical and business needs.Preferred Qualifications· Microsoft Power BI certification.· Experience in governance or compliance reporting.· Background in regulated industries or enterprise-scale governance programs.· Familiarity with CI/CD for Power BI and workspace management best practices.
