Power BI Developer

Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards and reports.Build efficient data models using star schema design, relationships, and advanced DAX measures.Develop and optimise ETL processes using Power Query (M) and integrate data from multiple sources.Optimise report performance, datasets, refresh schedules, and data connectivity.Manage Power BI Service workspaces, publishing, and report maintenance.Implement Row-Level Security (RLS) and follow appropriate workspace governance practices.Collaborate with business stakeholders to define KPIs, understand reporting requirements, and deliver meaningful insights.Apply data visualisation best practices to create clear, user-friendly dashboards. Required Skills & QualificationsHands-on experience developing solutions using Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service.Strong proficiency in DAX, Power Query (M), and SQL.Experience with data modelling, star schema design, and data warehousing concepts.Strong understanding of dashboard performance optimisation and data visualisation principles.Ability to translate business requirements into effective reporting solutions.Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate with business and client stakeholders.2–5 years of hands-on experience in Power BI development.Nice to HaveExperience with Microsoft Fabric and cloud-based analytics platforms.Familiarity with Tabular Editor, DAX Studio, or ALM Toolkit.Knowledge of Git integration, version control, and CI/CD deployment pipelines.Experience with composite models, calculation groups, and incremental refresh.Microsoft certifications such as PL-300 or DP-600.Work Arrangements: Onsite and remote opportunities available.We welcome applications from candidates with different levels of experience, depending on their technical expertise and suitability for the role.
