The ideal candidate will be capable of independently managing end-to-end report development and support activities, preferably within an on-premises Power BI Report Server (PBIRS) environment.The role requires strong proficiency in Power BI development, DAX, data modeling, report optimization, and enterprise reporting best practices to deliver scalable and business-driven analytics solutions.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards and reports using advanced visualizations, bookmarks, drill-throughs, tooltips, conditional formatting, and dynamic navigationCreate complex DAX measures, calculated columns, and business calculations to support reporting and analytical requirementsUtilize Power Query (M) for data extraction, transformation, cleansing, and integrationDevelop and manage data models including star schemas, fact and dimension tables, relationships, KPIs, and business logicWrite and optimize SQL queries for data extraction, validation, and reporting purposesConnect and integrate Power BI reports with enterprise databases, data warehouses, and other supported data sourcesCreate and maintain JSON theme files, reusable report templates, and visualization standardsImplement Row-Level Security (RLS) and manage report access, permissions, and secure data connectivityOptimize report performance using DAX Studio, Performance Analyzer, and best practices for semantic modelingPublish, deploy, maintain, and troubleshoot reports within Power BI Report Server (PBIRS)Perform data reconciliation, functional testing, regression testing, and production support activitiesTroubleshoot report issues and ensure data accuracy, reliability, and performanceSupport report migration, source connection updates, and modernization initiatives while preserving existing functionalityMaintain technical documentation including KPIs, calculations, data mappings, dependencies, and report configurationsMust-Have SkillsPower BI DevelopmentPower BI Report Server (PBIRS)DAX (Data Analysis Expressions)Power Query (M Language)Data Modeling and Data Warehousing ConceptsSQL Query DevelopmentDashboard and Report DesignRow-Level Security (RLS)Report Performance OptimizationData Validation and TestingEnterprise Reporting and Analytics DevelopmentGood-to-Have SkillsTabular EditorDAX StudioExperience with Enterprise Data WarehousesExperience with SAP Data SourcesExperience with Modern Data Platforms and Lakehouse ArchitecturesBI Report Migration and Modernization InitiativesJSON Theme Development and Report StandardizationData Governance and Reporting Best Practices
