Power BI Specialist

Currie & Brown is looking for a Power BI Specialist to join our team in Abu Dhabi, UAE.As a Power BI Specialist, you'll work closely with our project, commercial and business teams to develop data-driven solutions, improve reporting and turn complex information into clear, actionable insights.What will you be doing?Designing, developing and maintaining Power BI dashboards and reportsBuilding robust data models and developing DAX measures and calculationsUsing Power Query to transform, clean and prepare data from multiple sourcesWorking closely with stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and translate them into effective Power BI solutionsDeveloping dashboards covering project performance, cost management, financial and operational KPIsEnsuring data accuracy, consistency and quality across reporting solutionsOptimising existing Power BI reports and improving their performance and usabilityAutomating manual reporting processes and identifying opportunities to improve business efficiencyManaging Power BI workspaces, security and access where requiredProviding guidance and support to colleagues on Power BI and data visualisationKeeping up to date with Power BI, Microsoft Fabric and wider data and analytics developmentsWhat do you need?Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Engineering or a related disciplineProven professional experience in Power BI developmentStrong knowledge of DAX, Power Query and data modellingStrong SQL and Excel skillsExperience working with multiple data sources and developing integrated reporting solutionsPrevious experience working directly with business stakeholders to gather requirementsStrong analytical, problem-solving and communication skillsExcellent attention to detail and a strong focus on data accuracyPrevious experience within a construction consultancy, engineering, property, infrastructure or professional services environment is preferredExperience with project controls, cost management or commercial reporting is beneficialExperience with Microsoft Fabric, Azure or other Microsoft data technologies is an advantageMicrosoft Power BI certification is preferredWhy choose Currie & Brown?Unlike some businesses, we prioritise for the long term and honour our commitments.
