The Director of Product Management, Acquisition leads efforts across business, technical and creative resources to bring new features and technologies to the Web site. This senior position will work with our Marketing Department and other business groups, distilling business requirements, negotiating schedules, inventing solutions, documenting functionality and delivering analyses and results. The ideal candidate will bring a keen sense of web user dynamics, an understanding of consumer marketing and a balance of creative, organizational and analytic skills.In this position you will be an expert in your product area and a strong customer advocate. You will provide Marketing and other business groups guidance on how best to implement acquisition initiatives. You will interface with senior executives, business leaders, designers and engineers and drive this diverse group to agreement and coordinated action.You will gather and refine all feature enhancements and produce Product Requirements Documents that incorporate clearly set objectives, detailed use cases, design and user interface specifications and engineering requirements. Most critically, you will apply your first-rate hands-on project management skills to implement production schedules, coordinate engineering resources and ensure that every team is focused and moving toward the goals you set.You should have a firm analytic mind and be eager to work with business groups to interpret the performance of site changes and frequent customer tests that relate to their initiatives. Skills and Qualifications: • 7-10 years progressive production and management experience at a major consumer internet company; experience in advertising, marketing and/or online marketing a plus.• Intimate working knowledge of web tools, technologies and best practices including database-driven design, usability, online advertising models, campaign management and optimization.• Ability to effectively interface with marketing, design and engineering at all levels and to lead and influence across functions. • Recognized ability to manage tradeoffs effectively among schedule, scope and budget on a single project, and to manage multiple projects and priorities with attention to detail and reliable follow-through.• Self-directed, goal-oriented, results-driven personality with a commitment to continuous improvement.• Familiarity with Microsoft Project. Strong Excel skills.• Bachelor's degree required; Masters preferred.
