Responsibilities

Designs and implements market positioning plans across energy markets (electricity, natural gas, and environmental products).Participates in the execution of transactions within the liquid horizon of the markets, both on organised markets and bilaterally.Guides and coordinates the team on commercial positioning and trading matters.Develops and implements hedging and portfolio risk management strategies.Manages and coordinates complex or non-standard transactions.Monitors portfolio positions and performance, making the necessary operational adjustments as required.Collaborates closely with market analysis, risk management, and portfolio management units—both at the Company and Group level—to ensure operational alignment.Ensures the accurate recording of transactions and the optimal utilisation of systems (e.g., ETRM).

Requirements

A Bachelor’s degree or diploma from a Greek or foreign university, preferably in Engineering, Economics, Finance, or a Bachelor of Science.A Master's degree will be an asset.At least eight (8) years of proven professional experience in one or more of the following areas, including at least two (2) years in a leadership role with team management responsibilities:Trade execution in electricity and/or natural gas products.Participation in exchange markets (energy or other commodity exchanges).Energy market analysis.Trader certification for Greek or foreign markets.Proficiency in VBA, MATLAB, Python, and/or R programming will be an asset.Role Soft Skills:Accountability and Result OrientationProblem Solving and Decision MakingUnderstanding of the business environmentEffective Team ManagementNegotiation & Influencing skillsChange Management
