Job Title: PR & Communications ManagerLocation: Central LondonJob Type: Full Time – Permanent - £60,000 – £65,000Our client is a well-established UK property developer, known for delivering large-scale mixed-use developments encompassing residential, workspace, retail, leisure and community space. They take a long-term, city-building approach to everything they deliver, with a strong focus on creating places that work for the communities around them.We are now recruiting for an experienced PR & Communications Manager to develop and implement PR and communications strategies across the business, its projects and its people. Working closely with senior managers across asset management, marketing, events and development, you will help raise the organisation’s public profile, promote key projects and maintain its reputation with the media and external stakeholders.This is a varied and high-profile position covering media relations, communications campaigns, content creation, stakeholder engagement, thought leadership, awards, social media and crisis communications. The successful candidate will be creative, proactive and commercially minded, with excellent writing and communication skills and the confidence to work with senior stakeholders.The role would suit an experienced communications professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, is comfortable managing multiple priorities and has a genuine passion for media, public affairs and the property sector.Key ResponsibilitiesPR & Communications StrategyWork with the Head of Communications to deliver PR and communications strategies that build brand and project awareness.Develop communications programmes aligned with business and project objectives.Ensure key project milestones are positively and widely communicated through owned and earned channels.Develop stakeholder engagement plans for senior leadership and drive their implementation.Media & Public AffairsManage day-to-day media enquiries and requests for interviews.Oversee reactive and crisis media protocols, including availability outside normal working hours where required.Develop insight and trend research strategies with external communications agencies.Identify and advise senior executives on appropriate speaking opportunities and platforms.Attend and monitor major industry events.Maintain a strong understanding of the media and public affairs environment.Content & CampaignsOversee the creation of content for PR and communications campaigns across websites, social media, conferences, events, press releases and industry publications.Work alongside Marketing and Events Managers to deliver PR and communications activity supporting marketing campaigns.Create communications plans, articles, speeches, presentations, newsletters, press releases and briefing materials.Coordinate award submissions for the business and its projects.Stakeholder & Reputation ManagementWork with senior leaders to build brand awareness, enhance reputation and engage employees.Work alongside marketing and social media teams to respond appropriately to difficult or sensitive issues across social media channels.Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.Support the organisation’s wider reputation and communications objectives.Reporting & Budget ManagementGather, analyse and report communications campaign data and use insights to inform future activity.Work with the Head of Communications to manage budgets for relevant workstreams.Maintain the company CRM system to ensure accurate communications information.Adapt and develop the role as the needs of the business evolve.Key RequirementsMinimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar PR, Communications or Public Affairs position.Degree-level education.Proven experience managing communications and public affairs campaigns.Strong understanding of the media environment, with excellent writing and editing skills.Solid understanding of PR and communications principles.Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Confident working with senior stakeholders and external contacts.Creative and innovative approach, with strong commercial awareness.Keen understanding of and genuine passion for media and public affairs.Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships.Proactive, self-motivated and able to work independently.Positive and solutions-focused approach.Flexible and adaptable, with a hands-on attitude.Ability to work effectively under pressure and prioritise workload accordingly.Experience within the property, real estate, development or regeneration sector would be advantageous.
