Apply & track with Apply EdgeJob PurposeThe Pre-Seller is responsible for maximizing sales volume across an assigned customer base and territory while achieving distribution, availability, merchandising and collection targets.The role involves developing strong relationships with customers, generating and securing orders, maintaining appropriate stock levels at outlets, minimizing stale and out-of-stock products, and ensuring agreed merchandising and customer service standards are consistently maintained.The Pre-Seller will also monitor market and competitor activities and provide regular feedback to the Sales Supervisor to identify opportunities for business growth.Key ResponsibilitiesSell and promote the company's full range of F&B products to assigned customers in line with agreed sales, volume and distribution targets.Follow the approved daily route plan and customer call frequency to ensure effective market coverage and high levels of customer service.Generate customer orders accurately and ensure orders are communicated and processed in time to meet agreed delivery schedules.Develop existing customer accounts by identifying opportunities to increase product listings, sales volumes and distribution.Identify and approach potential new outlets within the assigned territory to expand the customer base and increase market penetration.Monitor stock levels at customer outlets and recommend appropriate order quantities to minimize out-of-stock situations and product stales/expiries.Achieve agreed targets for product availability, SKU distribution, numeric distribution and sales volume.Implement company-approved merchandising standards, including product positioning, shelf availability, displays, pricing and promotional materials.Coordinate with merchandisers, where applicable, to ensure agreed in-store activities and promotional displays are properly implemented.Monitor product freshness and stock rotation at customer outlets and proactively manage inventory to minimise stale or expired products.Maintain strong professional relationships with customers and promptly address routine customer concerns or service issues.Ensure accounts receivable and customer collections are managed according to agreed credit terms and company procedures.Reconcile cheques, cash and credit sales/collections accurately and submit the required documentation within the specified timelines.Monitor competitor activities, including pricing, promotions, new products, displays and distribution, and report relevant market intelligence to the Sales Supervisor.Provide regular feedback on customer requirements, market trends and potential sales opportunities.Participate in daily debriefing sessions with the Sales Supervisor to review sales performance, customer visits, orders, collections and market developments.Attend company training and development programs aimed at improving product knowledge, selling skills, professionalism and customer service.Comply with all company sales procedures, policies, safety requirements and operating standards.Qualifications & ExperienceDiploma, Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification.Minimum 3 years of sales experience, preferably within the F&B, FMCG, food distribution or beverage industry.Previous experience in Pre-Sales, Merchandiser, Van Sales, Route Sales or General Trade/Traditional Trade would be advantageous.Experience managing retail outlets, groceries, supermarkets, convenience stores or similar customer channels is preferred.Good understanding of sales targets, distribution, merchandising, stock rotation and customer account management.Knowledge of the KSA F&B/FMCG market would be an advantage.Basic accounting and cash/credit reconciliation knowledge.Skills & CompetenciesStrong selling and negotiation skillsCustomer relationship and account-building skillsEffective communication and interpersonal skillsSales and route planningTarget-driven and results-oriented approachMerchandising awarenessBasic numerical and accounting skillsProblem-solving and conflict-management skillsGood market and competitor awarenessAbility to work independently in a field-sales environmentAbility to work under pressure and achieve monthly targetsStrong time-management and organizational skills
