We’re Hiring | Preclinical Research ExpertThe Emirates Drug Establishment (EDE) is seeking an experienced Preclinical Research Expert to support the advancement of pharmaceutical and biomedical research within the UAE’s evolving regulatory and research ecosystem.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide expert guidance on preclinical research strategy, study design and evaluation.Review and assess pharmacology, toxicology and safety studies supporting product development.Provide expertise across laboratory, animal and non-animal preclinical models.Ensure studies and evidence are aligned with Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) and internationally recognized scientific and regulatory standards.Evaluate the quality, robustness and relevance of preclinical data and evidence.Support the translation of preclinical evidence into clinical development and regulatory decision-making.Contribute to strengthening EDE’s research, scientific and regulatory capabilities.Collaborate with internal and external researchers, laboratories, academia and relevant stakeholders.Candidate ProfileAdvanced degree (PhD, PharmD, MD, MSc or equivalent) in Pharmacology, Toxicology, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Biomedical Sciences or a related discipline.Strong professional experience in pharmaceutical/biomedical preclinical research.Demonstrated expertise in toxicology, pharmacology, study design and GLP requirements.Strong understanding of the drug development lifecycle from preclinical research through clinical development.Knowledge of international regulatory and scientific standards; experience with major regulatory authorities or pharmaceutical R&D environments is an advantage.Experience with alternative/non-animal methodologies and emerging preclinical research approaches is desirable.Strong scientific assessment, analytical and stakeholder-management capabilities.Location: UAEOrganization: Emirates Drug Establishment (EDE)If you have the scientific expertise and experience to contribute to the advancement of pharmaceutical research and regulatory science in the UAE, we encourage you to apply.
