AST aims to be the preferred partner for intelligent technology solutions that transform and secure industries across the UAE.Role Description The Presales System Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Sharjah, responsible for supporting the sales team with technical expertise across ELV, AI, and robotics solutions. This role includes analyzing customer requirements, designing system architectures, preparing technical proposals, and delivering product demonstrations and presentations to prospective clients. The Presales System Engineer collaborates closely with sales, project, and engineering teams to validate solution feasibility, estimate resources, and ensure proposed systems align with customer needs and regulatory standards. Daily tasks involve responding to technical inquiries, performing solution customization, assisting with proof-of-concept deployments, and maintaining up-to-date knowledge of AST’s product portfolio and relevant industry technologies. The role also involves documenting solutions, contributing to bid responses, and providing feedback to product and engineering teams based on market and client insights.Qualifications Strong Systems Engineering and Systems Design skills to analyze requirements, architect solutions, and integrate ELV, AI, and robotics technologies.Proficiency in Troubleshooting and Technical Support to diagnose issues, answer client technical queries, and assist with proof-of-concept and pre-deployment validation.Experience in System Administration to configure, manage, and optimize servers, networks, and related infrastructure supporting proposed solutions.Knowledge of ELV systems (CCTV, access control, video intercom, gate barriers, structured cabling, public address) and familiarity with security and local regulatory standards.Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and prepare clear technical documentation.Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, manage multiple presales engagements, and work in fast-paced, client-facing environments.Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; relevant certifications in networking, security, or systems engineering are an advantage.Experience in AI-based solutions, automation, or robotics, and prior presales or customer-facing technical roles in the technology or security sectors is
