Preschool Lead TeacherLocation: Queens, NYJob Type: Full-TimePosition SummaryWe are seeking a caring, energetic, and experienced Preschool Lead Teacher to join our team. The Lead Teacher will create a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment while supporting the social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development of preschool-aged children.ResponsibilitiesPlan and implement developmentally appropriate, engaging lesson plans and learning activities.Create a warm, safe, and inclusive classroom environment.Lead classroom routines and effectively manage children's behavior using positive guidance strategies.Observe and assess children's development and maintain required documentation and records.Differentiate instruction and provide individualized support based on each child's needs.Maintain a well-organized classroom that promotes active learning and exploration.Communicate regularly and professionally with families regarding children's progress and needs.Supervise and support Assistant Teachers and other classroom staff.Collaborate with the Education Director and teaching team to support program goals and quality standards.Participate in staff meetings, professional development, trainings, and family engagement activities.Ensure compliance with all applicable NYC Department of Health, Department of Education, and program policies and regulations.Maintain required health, safety, supervision, and cleanliness standards at all times.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field preferred.Previous experience working with preschool-aged children.Strong classroom management and lesson planning skills.Knowledge of child development and developmentally appropriate practices.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.Must meet all required background checks, clearances, and health requirements.We Are Looking For Someone Who IsPassionate about early childhood educationPatient, nurturing, and dependableOrganized and responsibleA strong leader and team playerCreative and enthusiastic about teachingCommitted to helping every child learn, grow, and thrive
