The staff works as a team to guide the development of the children as they learn in an environment of discovery and play. Aides are expected to help the lead teacher and other classroom teachers in organizing, supervising, and implementing preschool programming that supports the goals of the program. Job Responsibilities:EnvironmentAssist classroom teachers with lesson plan and schedule implementationEnsure a safe and healthy environment and complete daily tasks assignedParticipate in regular cleaning of materials and classroom spacesMaintain classroom organization and rotate materials and classroom spacesCreate a culturally inclusive classroom with activities that support different cultures and backgroundsProgram for ChildrenEngage children as individuals in a way that allows them to grow at their own abilitiesWork with preschool teachers to implement and maintain classroom curriculumSupport children in their emotional and physical growthAssist children as they discover literacy and math skills and encourage learning to help them find successEffectively implement Sacred Heart School behavior guidance techniques to help children develop the ability to become self-disciplinedCommunicationMaintain daily, open communication with parentsHelp keep track of children and communicate regularly to parents about their progress in the programComplete appropriate paperwork to assist with increased communication and also participate in parent conferences and scheduled orientationsCommunicate child concerns and family needs to the preschool team Required Qualifications18 years of age or olderGraduation from high school or GEDEEC Essentials 2.0Background Check through EEC Preferred QualificationsAssociate's degree (or currently working toward one)Ability to multitaskWillingness to work as a team and maintain a positive work environmentBilingual
