Position SummaryThe Prevention & Education Programs Manager is responsible for overseeing SAVA’s prevention & education programs and supervises program staff, interns and volunteer mentors. This position is responsible for overseeing prevention education curriculum development, program evaluation, collaborating with partner school districts and community organizations, and represents the organization at community meetings and community events. The position assists with grant applications and reports. The position serves on the Leadership Team and helps set goals and strategies for the agency.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesPrevention & Education:· Design, plan & implement prevention education curricula for youth ages 6-21.· Hire, train and supervise prevention education program staff, interns and volunteers.· Facilitate weekly prevention team meetings with prevention education program staff.· Promote the program and mission of the agency in Larimer and Weld Counties.· Build and maintain community partnerships with school districts, nonprofit organizations, businesses, and funders to ensure the success of the prevention programs.· Communicate with parents/guardians of prevention program participants.· Coordinate public relations for prevention education programs.· Conduct program evaluations, including: collect, analyze, and report data findings.· Oversee requests for booth events and one-time presentations in the community.Outreach:· Provide outreach to underserved populations.· Assist with recruiting volunteers for prevention programs.· Develop and implement outreach plan to coordinate efforts with other agencies.· Develop and deliver educational presentations to various community groups.· Attend networking meetings in Larimer and Weld Counties.Administrative:· Work with the Chief Executive Officer on grant applications, reports and presentations to secure and maintain funding for the prevention programs.· Oversee the implementation of the strategic plan for prevention education programs.· Collect and enter statistical data on the provision of services and prepare reports in accordance with funder reporting requirements.· Seek out and attend prevention-related training opportunities and conduct research on program-specific content and best practices.· Supervise program staff.· Track and document program costs and expenses for materials.· Maintain a prevention program budget.· Solicit for donations for food, sponsorships, and other donations that will help support prevention programs.Other Related Duties:· Complete 40-Hour Hotline Training within 1 month of hire.· Attend staff meetings regularly.· Participate in SAVA-related events.· Assist with answering phones, processing mail, and general office duties as needed.· Serve as leadership backup to support staff on-call after hours when needed.· Assist with fundraising efforts, including collecting donations for events.· Perform other duties as assigned.Required Qualifications:· Bachelor’s degree in education, developmental science, psychology, social work, women’s studies, human services or related field.· 2 years of professional experience working in a related field and/or providing prevention education for youth.· Professional experience supervising volunteers, interns, and/or professional staff.· Proficiency in group facilitation, public speaking and developing and delivering presentations.· Knowledge and understanding of sexual assault, intersectionality, and cultural roots of sexual violence.· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.· Knowledge of crisis intervention techniques and trauma-informed practices.Preferred Qualifications:· Familiarity and working knowledge of Larimer and Weld County school districts.· Proficiency in gathering data, compiling information and preparing reports.· Experience with community assessment and evaluation processes.· Fluency in speaking and writing in Spanish.· Knowledge of adolescent development.· Experience working with individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities.· Experience providing non-therapeutic crisis intervention and advocacy services to victims of interpersonal violence and their loved ones.To Apply · To apply, please submit your resume and cover letter here and to marissa@savacenter.orgSAVA Center is dedicated to the principles of equal employment opportunity.
