The APAC Biofuels and feedstock pricing group is dynamic team, responsible for key pricing benchmarks across the region.The Impact: We are seeking a price specialist who can help drive our biofuel assessments and market coverage across the Asia-Pacific region. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to S&P Global Energy Biofuel and Feedstock pricing team through leading coverage of a developing market and growing industry.What’s in it for you: Opportunities to represent S&P Global Energy at industry events, face-to-face meetings, presenting at conferences, webinars and podcasts to further develop S&P Global as a significant presence in the biofuels spaceThe successful candidate would contribute to a fast paced, and dynamic team based in Singapore and Malaysia that works across the biofuels and feedstocks markets.Assist in identifying, developing, and executing new price assessment opportunities across the biofuel markets.Responsibilities: Managing a price reporting team in Penang, Malaysia and leading market coverage on biofuelsBuilding and managing our database of contacts, seek potential new sources to contribute to our assessment process and developing a close business relationship with market participantsIdentifying opportunities to refine methodology and help launch new price assessmentsEditing daily and weekly commentaries, reviewing and approving the daily assessment workProviding support on other biofuels and feedstocks markets as may be requiredBoosting news stories and multi-media coverageRepresenting S&P Global Energy at industry events as well as in face-to-face meetings with market participants to drive market adoptionWork closely with relevant units across the organization such as commercial, analytics and news.What We’re Looking For: Basic Qualifications:Demonstrated leadership experience managing, developing, and motivating teams in a commercially focused or market-facing environment.Experience in market reporting, research, or editorial environments, with the ability to interpret market developments and communicate insights effectively.Strong analytical, quantitative, and commercial acumen, with advanced proficiency in Excel and financial analysis.Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across functions and external market participants.Fluent in English; Mandarin language proficiency is advantageous given regular interaction with China-based market participants.Self-starter with strong problem-solving capabilities, sound judgment, and the ability to operate effectively in a dynamic environment.Proven ability to manage competing priorities and deliver results under tight deadlines
