The invitation will ask you to create a short video (maximum 90 seconds) explaining why you believe that you are the ideal candidate for this role; you will have 5 working days from receiving the invite to submit this.Stage 3: Silver InvitationAfter watching each video, the panel will send out Silver Invitations to those who have impressed us the most. The Silver Invitation means you are invited to a full morning at White Rose Education Offices in Leeds on Saturday 21st November, 9am-1pm. The day will consist of talks from our Executive Officer, Managing Director and Head of English, and you will also meet other staff from across the organisation. It is important to us that you understand who we are and what we do, so you can assess if WRE is what you are looking for. Alongside others who have been shortlisted, you will take part in a series of different activities so that you have an opportunity to show your knowledge, skills and personality in different contexts. The panel and colleagues from across different teams will support with this process. Lunch will be provided and you will walk away with your very own WRE goody bag.Stage 4: Gold InvitationIf you are shortlisted from stage 3, you will have achieved something remarkable - a Gold Invitation will appear in your inbox inviting you to a formal interview. These will take place on Saturday 28th November.RequirementsWhat you will needQTS and at least five years' primary teaching experienceStrong academic qualifications (2:1 or above at degree level)Experience of teaching in at least two phases of primary (EYFS, KS1, LKS2, UKS2)Secure knowledge of the primary English curriculum (reading, writing, handwriting, spelling, grammar and punctuation) and effective pedagogyProven track record of being an outstanding classroom practitioner over timeLeadership of English or leadership of an aspect of English (e.g. English Lead; Reading Lead; Writing Lead; Phase Lead; Senior Leader with line management of English)Experience of English curriculum development, including the creation of impactful classroom resourcesStrong written and spoken communication skillsExperience of presenting, training and developing othersAttention to detail and pride in producing accurate, high-quality workStrong organisation and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities independentlyAdaptability and be able thrive in a fast-moving environmentSecure knowledge of educational research, policies and the current educational landscapeBenefitsWhat we will offer youYou will work alongside experts in education and have endless opportunities to further your knowledge and experiences, not only within the English team, but across other WRE teams, products and services we offer.
