Primary Independent Learning Support Assistant (ILSA)

Candidates will also be required to provide an NOC from their sponsor.We are currently seeking skilled, compassionate and experienced Individual Learning Support Assistants (ILSAs) to support students across Foundation Stage and Primary.Our students may have a range of learning, communication, social, emotional, behavioural and sensory needs. The role involves working closely with the student, class teachers, the Inclusion Team, Behaviour Specialist, family and external professionals to support the student to access learning, participate successfully in school life and develop greater independence.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide individual or shared support throughout the school day.Support access to learning across lessons and school environments.Implement strategies recommended by the Inclusion Team and external professionals.Support communication, regulation, social interaction, executive functioning and independence.Support transitions, specialist lessons and unstructured times.Collect simple observational or progress data where required.Work collaboratively with teachers, families and the Inclusion Team.Maintain high standards of professionalism, confidentiality and safeguarding.We Are Looking For Candidates WhoHave at least two years' relevant experience supporting children or young people with additional needs.Have experience supporting students with needs such as ASD, ADHD, speech and language needs, social communication differences, learning differences or SEMH needs.Have previous experience as an ILSA, LSA, Teaching Assistant, SEN Assistant, Behaviour Support Assistant or in a similar educational/therapeutic role.Hold a relevant qualification in Education, Psychology, Child Development, SEN, ABA or a related field.Have excellent spoken and written English.Are patient, professional, adaptable and committed to promoting student independence.Are able to work collaboratively with school staff, families and external professionals.We are particularly interested in candidates with Secondary School experience.Experience of ABA, Positive Behaviour Support, executive functioning approaches or the English National Curriculum would be beneficial.Employment ArrangementsThis is a parent-funded position and not a school-employed role. Successful candidates are employed directly by the family of the student they support.The school conducts the initial screening process and provides induction, training, guidance and oversight within the school setting.
