SRIS emphasizes integrity, self-motivation, and meaningful contribution to society in all aspects of school life.Role Description The Primary School Science Teacher will design and deliver engaging, age-appropriate science lessons aligned with the Cambridge curriculum for primary learners. The role includes planning units of inquiry, preparing instructional materials, assessing student progress, and providing constructive feedback to support each learner’s development. The teacher will manage a positive, inclusive classroom environment, integrate hands-on experiments and practical activities, and differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs. Collaboration with colleagues, participation in school events, and regular communication with families about student progress are key aspects of the position. This is a full-time, on-site role based at Silk Road International School in Bishkek.Qualifications Strong foundation in Teaching and Elementary Education, with experience in primary-level science instruction.Proficiency in Curriculum Development and Education practices, including planning, implementing, and evaluating science units aligned with the Cambridge framework.Excellent Communication skills, including clear classroom instruction, effective feedback, and professional interaction with students, families, and colleagues.Relevant university degree in Education, Primary/Elementary Education, Science Education, or a closely related field.Experience with international or Cambridge curricula and inquiry-based learning approaches is highly beneficial.Ability to create an inclusive, student-centered classroom that supports diverse learning styles and backgrounds.Strong classroom management, organization, and lesson planning skills, with a focus on practical, experiment-based science learning.Commitment to ongoing professional development, collaboration within a multicultural team, and alignment with SRIS values and mission.
