The diverse environment and international curriculum make DIS an engaging setting for educators who value global perspectives and student-centered learning.Role Description The Primary School Teacher is a full-time, on-site role based in Dushanbe, responsible for teaching and supporting students in early and elementary grades. Daily responsibilities include planning and delivering engaging lessons aligned with the school’s curriculum, assessing student progress, and providing feedback to support academic and personal growth. The teacher will create a safe, inclusive, and structured classroom environment, manage classroom routines, and integrate technology and library resources where appropriate. The role involves collaborating with colleagues, participating in school events and clubs, communicating regularly with parents and guardians, and contributing to continuous improvement of teaching practices. The teacher is expected to uphold the school’s international standards and support students learning in English while respecting the multilingual context.Qualifications Demonstrated skills in Teaching and Elementary Education, with experience working with primary school-aged learners.Ability to design and implement Curriculum Development and Education plans aligned with international and local standards.Strong Communication skills, including clear verbal and written communication with students, families, and colleagues.Bachelor’s degree or higher in Education, Elementary Education, or a related field; teaching certification is highly desirable.Experience in international or multicultural school settings is an advantage, particularly with Cambridge curricula.Proficiency in English required; knowledge of Tajik or Russian is an asset.Ability to create inclusive, student-centered learning environments and effectively manage classroom behavior.Willingness to participate in co-curricular activities, clubs, and school events.
