The environment is designed to be therapeutic, comfortable, and conducive to deep clinical work.Role Description The Primary Therapist is a full-time, on-site role based in Beverly Hills, CA. This position provides individual, group, and family therapy to residents, using evidence-informed approaches consistent with the program’s whole-person care philosophy. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting comprehensive assessments, developing and updating treatment plans, and coordinating care with an interdisciplinary team. The Primary Therapist facilitates psychoeducational and process groups, manages clinical documentation, and engages in case management activities to support smooth transitions and continuity of care. The role also involves collaborating with external providers, participating in treatment team meetings, and contributing to program development and quality improvement initiatives.Qualifications Demonstrated experience in Treatment Planning, including assessment, goal setting, and ongoing clinical review.Background in Social Work or related clinical practice, with skills in advocacy, psychosocial support, and resource linkage.Knowledge of Chemical Dependency and substance use disorders, including integrated approaches to co-occurring conditions.Competence in Case Management, care coordination, and discharge planning within a multidisciplinary setting.Clinical expertise in Dual Diagnosis, working with individuals who have both mental health and substance use challenges.Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field; appropriate clinical license or license-eligible status in California (e.g., LCSW, LMFT, LPCC, Psychologist).Experience in residential or intensive outpatient mental health settings, preferably with mood, anxiety, and trauma-related disorders.Strong skills in risk assessment, crisis intervention, and therapeutic relationship building in diverse populations.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including accurate and timely clinical documentation.Ability to collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams and maintain professional boundaries and ethical standards.
