The role requires deep expertise in diagnosing bottlenecks, optimizing system performance, and building scalable architectures capable of supporting high transaction volumes and rapid business growth.This is not a purely advisory architecture role. Location: GurugramWorking Model: Work from Office – 5 Days per WeekWhat You OwnPerformance EngineeringOwn end-to-end performance of critical systems across latency, throughput, concurrency, scalability,and resource utilization.Diagnose complex performance bottlenecks using profiling, benchmarking, load testing, distributedtracing, and system-level analysis.Identify performance issues across application code, runtime, databases, network, and infrastructure,and drive them to resolution.Establish performance engineering practices covering capacity planning, performance testing,profiling, and production optimization.Partner with engineering teams to design systems that scale predictably under increasing load.Infrastructure, Database & Network OptimizationOptimize compute, memory, storage, networking, and cloud infrastructure for performance, reliability, and cost efficiency.Tune PostgreSQL, MySQL, Redis, and other data systems through query optimization, indexing, schema design, caching, connection management, and capacity planning.Analyse network behaviour including DNS, TCP/IP, HTTP, TLS, connection pooling, load balancing, routing, and payload optimization.Investigate production incidents and perform deep root-cause analysis across the full technology stack.Build and improve observability required to understand system behaviour and proactively identify performance degradation.Infrastructure & Operational Excellence Architecture & Technical LeadershipDefine architectural patterns and engineering standards for high-performance distributed systems.Identify systemic performance problems across services and drive cross-team remediation.Work closely with Backend, Platform, DevOps, SRE, and Data teams on high-impact performance initiatives.Establish measurable performance goals and use data to validate improvements.Qualifications10+ years of experience in Performance Engineering, Platform Engineering, Backend Engineering, or Solution Architecture.What You BringDeep expertise in application performance tuning and distributed systems.Strong hands-on experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL, Redis, and caching technologies.Strong understanding of networking concepts including DNS, connection pooling, compression, load balancing, TCP/IP, and HTTP protocols.Experience with performance testing and observability tools such as JMeter, k6, Gatling, Prometheus,Grafana, Datadog, or similar.Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with a proven track record of solving large-scale performance bottlenecks.Why SnapmintBe Part of a 10X–100X Journey - Help build and scale and be part of a high-growth story.Raise the Bar - Learn from people who raise the bar.Solve Hard Problems - Work on meaningful, high-impact challenges.Own the Outcome - Take ownership and make things happen.Move Fast, Build Fast - Turn ideas into action, not backlogs.Make Real Impact - See your work reach millions of customers.Grow with Snapmint - Take on bigger challenges as we scale.Explore Snapmint
