Principal – Building Performance, SydneyLocation: Sydney, NSWPosition: PrincipalExperience: 10+ yearsSector: Building Services / Property / Building PerformanceRemuneration: Highly competitive, commensurate with experience and potentialGeronimo Advisory is growing, and we’re looking for an experienced consultant to join our Sydney team.We are seeking an experienced building services and building performance professional who is passionate about improving the performance, sustainability and value of existing buildings.This is an exciting opportunity to join Geronimo Advisory, an independent building performance and sustainability consultancy working with leading property owners, asset managers, investors and facilities teams across Australia.About the roleAs a principal, you will play a key role in growing our Sydney business, leading client relationships and delivering high value building performance outcomes.We are particularly interested in someone with:10+ years’ experience in building services, with a strong preference for Mechanical Engineering experienceDemonstrated experience in existing building performance, energy & water efficiency and sustainabilityStrong understanding of building services systems and how they influence building performanceExperience working with commercial property owners, asset managers, investors, facilities managers and property managersAn established industry network and client relationships across the Sydney property sectorAbility to work and deliver independently Experience identifying and delivering energy, carbon, water and operational improvement opportunitiesStrong commercial, consulting and project management skillsExcellent communication and stakeholder management capabilitiesThe ability to identify opportunities, develop client relationships and contribute to business growthWhat you’ll doYou will have the opportunity to:Lead building performance and sustainability projects across existing buildingsWork directly with property owners, asset managers and investment teamsDevelop and maintain senior client relationshipsIdentify building optimisation, energy efficiency, electrification and renewable energy opportunitiesLead Net Zero Transition and broader building performance initiatives including performance certifications such as NABERS, Green Star Performance, GRESBProvide strategic advice that delivers measurable operational, financial and environmental outcomesHelp grow Geronimo Advisory’s Sydney presence and client baseCollaborate with our Principals and technical specialists across Melbourne and Perth as well as work and deliver independentlyHybrid working with minimum of 3 days in OfficeWhy Geronimo Advisory?We are a specialist, independent consultancy focused on making buildings perform better.You’ll have the opportunity to work closely with senior property decision-makers, influence real outcomes across major Australian property portfolios, and be part of a growing team that combines technical expertise, sustainability and practical building optimisation.This is not simply a technical role - we are looking for someone who wants to build relationships, lead, influence and grow.If you are an experienced building services or building performance professional with strong industry relationships and are looking for an opportunity to make a meaningful impact, we’d love to hear from you.Please send your CV and a brief introduction to Mathuran Marianayagam to discuss the opportunity.Geronimo Advisory - Making Buildings Perform Better!
