Principal Consultant – Enterprise Architecture & Digital Transformation

Role PurposeEjadTech is seeking a highly experienced Principal Enterprise Architect & Digital Transformation Expert to lead strategic consulting engagements in enterprise architecture and digital transformation across government and private-sector organizations in Saudi Arabia.The role focuses on establishing and developing Enterprise Architecture (EA) Offices, conducting architecture and digital maturity assessments, developing digital transformation strategies and roadmaps, and ensuring alignment with national frameworks and regulatory requirements, including NORA, TOGAF, and the Digital Government Authority (DGA).The successful candidate will also play a key role in business development by engaging directly with clients, identifying and evaluating strategic opportunities, shaping consulting solutions, and supporting the development of competitive technical proposals and new advisory service offerings.Key Responsibilities1. Enterprise Architecture Consulting & AdvisoryLead and deliver enterprise architecture consulting engagements across government and private-sector organizations.Establish, develop, and operationalize Enterprise Architecture (EA) Offices, including governance frameworks, operating models, policies, processes, and procedures.Apply NORA, TOGAF, and relevant national and international enterprise architecture standards and best practices.Lead the development of Business, Data, Application, and Technology Architectures.Align enterprise architecture strategies and initiatives with organizational objectives, digital transformation strategies, and DGA requirements.Develop target-state architectures, transformation roadmaps, and strategic recommendations to enhance enterprise capabilities and technology alignment.2. Digital Transformation Strategy & AdvisoryLead digital transformation consulting engagements, including strategy development, digital maturity assessments, and transformation roadmap design.Assess organizational digital capabilities, operating models, processes, and technology environments to identify transformation opportunities.Develop digital transformation strategies, initiatives, and implementation roadmaps aligned with organizational priorities and national digital frameworks.Advise clients on digital governance, operating models, process optimization, and technology-enabled business transformation.Apply relevant DGA, SDAIA, NDMO, and other applicable national digital transformation frameworks, standards, and indicators.Define transformation priorities, performance indicators, and improvement initiatives to support measurable business outcomes.3. EA & Digital Maturity Assessment and GovernanceLead enterprise architecture and digital maturity assessments using applicable national frameworks, assessment models, and international best practices.Conduct current-state and target-state assessments, gap analyses, and organizational capability evaluations.Develop maturity improvement plans, compliance roadmaps, and governance enhancement initiatives.Establish KPIs and measurement mechanisms to monitor enterprise architecture effectiveness, digital transformation progress, and maturity improvement.Assess organizational alignment with DGA requirements and relevant national digital transformation standards.Present assessment findings, strategic recommendations, and improvement plans to executive management and key stakeholders.4. Business Development & Client EngagementIdentify and support strategic business development opportunities in enterprise architecture and digital transformation consulting across government and private-sector markets.Engage directly with clients and executive stakeholders to understand business challenges, identify transformation needs, and provide expert advisory recommendations.Lead the technical and consulting evaluation of potential opportunities, including feasibility, scope, delivery approach, and alignment with EjadTech's capabilities.Contribute to developing and expanding enterprise architecture and digital transformation consulting services based on market demands and emerging trends.Support the development of technical proposals, Statements of Work (SOW), consulting methodologies, deliverables, and resource estimates.Collaborate with sales, business development, and delivery teams to qualify opportunities, shape consulting solutions, and ensure effective transition from proposal to execution.5. Technical Architecture & Solution AdvisoryProvide expert architectural guidance across software engineering, solution architecture, cloud computing, IT infrastructure, and systems integration.Evaluate enterprise applications, technology platforms, and proposed solutions against target architecture and digital transformation requirements.Recommend appropriate technologies, architectural approaches, and integration strategies to address client business needs.Advise on emerging technologies and their potential applications in enterprise modernization and digital transformation.Ensure architectural recommendations support scalability, interoperability, security, and alignment with business and transformation objectives.Qualifications & RequirementsEducation & Professional ExperienceBachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.Minimum of 8 years of professional experience in IT and consulting, including at least 5 years specializing in Enterprise Architecture and/or Digital Transformation.Proven experience leading enterprise architecture and digital transformation consulting projects.Demonstrated hands-on experience in establishing, developing, and operationalizing Enterprise Architecture (EA) Offices.Strong experience conducting enterprise architecture and digital maturity assessments, developing improvement roadmaps, and implementing governance frameworks.Proven experience developing digital transformation strategies, operating models, and implementation roadmaps.Previous consulting experience with Saudi government entities and strong familiarity with national digital transformation requirements.Experience supporting business development, evaluating consulting opportunities, engaging directly with clients, and preparing technical proposals and Statements of Work.Technical & Consulting ExpertiseIn-depth knowledge of NORA, DGA requirements, and Saudi national enterprise architecture and digital transformation frameworks.Advanced expertise in TOGAF, enterprise architecture methodologies, governance models, and maturity assessment frameworks.Strong knowledge of digital transformation strategies, digital maturity models, operating models, and performance measurement frameworks.Familiarity with SDAIA, NDMO, and relevant national digital governance and data management requirements.Strong understanding of Business, Data, Application, and Technology Architecture domains.Solid technical background in software engineering, solution architecture, cloud platforms, IT infrastructure, and enterprise systems integration.Ability to translate complex business and technical requirements into practical architecture and digital transformation solutions.Professional CertificationsMandatoryTOGAF Certification.PreferredAWS Certified Solutions Architect.Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert.Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect.Professional certifications in Digital Transformation, Digital Strategy, or IT Governance.Equivalent professional certifications in cloud architecture, solution architecture, or related IT disciplines.Core CompetenciesStrategic thinking and advanced consulting capabilities in enterprise architecture and digital transformation.Strong client-facing communication and executive stakeholder engagement.Excellent business development, opportunity assessment, and solution-shaping skills.Advanced analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.Strong knowledge of digital transformation strategies, enterprise governance, and organizational maturity improvement.Excellent technical proposal writing, documentation, and executive presentation skills.Ability to lead strategic consulting engagements and collaborate effectively across business development and technical delivery teams.
