About the RoleThe Principal Cyber Security Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining a robust security architecture across Comsol Networks' core, access, cloud, and enterprise environments.ResponsibilitiesSecurity Architecture & Strategy Design and maintain secure network and system architectures across core, access, cloud, and enterprise environments.Lead the implementation of cybersecurity frameworks aligned with ISO 27001, NIST, CIS Controls, and industry best practices.Define and enforce security standards, policies, and technical baselines.Provide technical leadership on Zero Trust architecture initiatives.Network & Infrastructure Security Oversee firewall, IDS/IPS, VPN, endpoint protection, and segmentation strategies.Secure MPLS, IP, wireless, fibre, and cloud-based infrastructure environments.Lead secure design for 5G, RAN, core networks, and transmission infrastructure where applicable.Ensure secure integration with third-party vendors and service providers.Security Operations & Incident Response Act as an escalation point for major security incidents and investigations.Lead threat detection, vulnerability remediation, and forensic response activities.Coordinate containment and recovery actions during cyber incidents.Support SOC maturity development and threat intelligence integration.Enhance SOC capabilities using SIEM tools (Splunk, Q Radar, ArcSight), driving proactive threat detection and response.Identity & Access Management (IAM / IGA / PAM) Lead the successful implementation of Privileged Access Management solutions (CyberArk, Beyond Trust) enhancing privileged account security and aligning with audit and compliance requirements.Direct migration projects between identity governance platforms (e.g. SailPoint to One Identity Manager), improving access governance and operational efficiency.Cloud Security & Dev Sec Ops Configure and manage Azure security policies, Microsoft Purview, Entra ID, and conditional access for hybrid environments.Design and integrate Dev Sec Ops practices into CI/CD pipelines to ensure automated security scanning and compliance across development stages.Deliver PKI management and cryptographic solutions, integrating Hardware Security Modules (HSM).QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent qualification.CompTIA Cy SA+ – Cybersecurity AnalystCompTIA A+ – IT Support and Technical FundamentalsCompTIA Cloud+ – Cloud ComputingMicrosoft Analysing Big Data Certification, or an equivalent qualification in Data AnalyticsRequired SkillsProven experience in a senior cybersecurity architecture or engineering role, preferably within the telecommunications, ISP, technology, or enterprise network environment.Strong hands-on experience with Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) platforms, including Splunk, IBM Q Radar, or ArcSight, with a solid understanding of SOC operations.Demonstrable experience in the implementation, integration, and management of Privileged Access Management (PAM) and Identity Governance and Administration (IGA) solutions, including CyberArk, Beyond Trust, SailPoint, and One Identity.
