Principal GPU Compiler Developer Our client is a leading global semiconductor company delivering system-on-chip (SoC) solutions for mobile, connectivity, home entertainment and IoT products worldwide. Their GPU IP team is focused on industry-leading, feature-rich and PPA-competitive graphics IP, deployed across flagship and mainstream mobile SoCs as well as adjacent markets including laptop, IoT, AI, VR/AR and automotive.The team is now expanding its GPU function across architecture, driver, compiler, performance, power and modelling disciplines at its Cambridge site.What you will be doingDefining GPU compiler software architecture and interfacesDeveloping and implementing the GPU compiler pipeline, including linking and a range of optimisations and transformationsCollaborating with driver and hardware teams to implement new API and hardware featuresWorking with driver and hardware teams to improve and tune performance and power consumptionExecuting and delivering against project milestones and schedulesAnalysing and debugging code generation issuesAnalysing and helping shape future GPU architecturesBuilding strong working relationships across internal and external teamsWhat we are looking forA degree (BS, MS or PhD) in Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering, or a related discipline7+ years relevant experienceExperience with product compilers and compiler tools such as assemblers and linkersStrong hands-on C/C++ programming experiencePractical experience with modern compiler optimisation and transformation techniquesHands-on experience with LLVMStrong written and verbal communication skillsStrong teamwork and execution capabilityStrong problem solving, root cause analysis and debugging skillsA self-driven approach to workNice to haveKnowledge or experience of GPU pipelines and GPU architectureKnowledge or experience of SIMD architectureKnowledge or experience of D3D, Vulkan/OpenGL or OpenCL APIsExperience applying AI to compiler, tooling or optimisation developmentIf this sounds interesting and you'd like to learn more, click the link below to apply or email me with a copy of your CV on smouland@eu-recruit.com By applying to this role you understand that we may collect your personal data and store and process it on our systems.
