The ideal candidate will have extensive experience designing, implementing, and maintaining secure, high-performing, and scalable cloud infrastructure.This role requires strong expertise in cloud platforms, Linux/Unix administration, database performance optimization, and automation. You will be responsible for selecting and deploying appropriate tools and technologies, streamlining development and operational processes, and ensuring high availability across development, staging, and production environments.The successful candidate will take ownership of infrastructure reliability, troubleshoot complex technical issues, and drive continuous improvements across the platform.RequirementsKey ResponsibilitiesCloud Infrastructure Design: Design, implement, and maintain scalable infrastructure for deploying and operating web, mobile, and big data applications across cloud environmentsDatabase Administration and Optimization: Manage, scale, and optimize SQL and NoSQL databases, particularly MongoDB, along with web servers, application frameworks, caching systems, and distributed messaging platformsInfrastructure Automation: Automate deployment, configuration, and management of virtualized infrastructure and the complete software stackBackup and Disaster Recovery: Design and maintain reliable backup and restoration strategies, ensuring minimal Recovery Time Objective (RTO) and Recovery Point Objective (RPO)Cloud Operations: Manage Linux servers and SaaS infrastructure across AWS, Microsoft Azure, IBM Cloud, and Alibaba CloudPerformance Engineering: Establish processes to identify performance bottlenecks, scalability challenges, and infrastructure limitationsMonitoring and Alerting: Design, implement, and maintain robust monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to ensure infrastructure health and operational visibilityDevOps Process Improvement: Identify and implement tools and technologies to automate repetitive operational tasks and improve development efficiencyHigh Availability: Build and maintain highly available infrastructure with automated failover capabilities and minimal manual interventionTroubleshooting and Support: Diagnose and resolve complex infrastructure, database, and deployment issues across development, staging, and production environmentsOperational Excellence: Establish and maintain best practices for enterprise applications and always-available servicesRequired Qualifications And ExperienceBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline8–10 years of experience designing and maintaining high-volume, scalable microservices architectures on cloud infrastructureStrong expertise in Linux/Unix administration and Python or Shell scriptingExtensive experience with cloud platforms, particularly AWS services such as EC2, ELB, S3, Auto Scaling, VPC, and LambdaWorking knowledge of Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Microsoft AzureHands-on experience with deployment automation and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Maven, Puppet, Chef, and GitLabExperience with monitoring tools such as Zabbix, Amazon CloudWatch, and NagiosKnowledge of Java Virtual Machines (JVM), Apache Tomcat, Nginx, Apache Kafka, microservices architecture, and caching mechanismsExperience in database query analysis, performance tuning, and database redesignBackground in enterprise application development, maintenance, and production operationsStrong understanding of IT operations and best practices for highly available, always-on servicesExcellent written and verbal communication, problem-solving, judgment, and decision-making skillsMust-Have SkillsAmazon Web Services (AWS)ELK StackKubernetes (K8s)DevOps EngineeringCloud Infrastructure ManagementDatabase AdministrationLinux/Unix AdministrationInfrastructure AutomationGood-to-Have SkillsLinux/Unix and Shell ScriptingPython and Shell ScriptingGoogle Cloud Platform (GCP)Microsoft AzureMongoDBCI/CD AutomationMonitoring and Alerting ToolsDatabase Performance OptimizationHigh Availability and Disaster Recovery
