We ask employees to be present in the office at least three days per week.Think smarter. Move faster. Deliver value.JOB TITLE: PRINCIPAL ENGINEER - SUBCONTRACTSThis role is based in Sharjah. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Plan and manage subcontract tender processes from issue through clarification, commercial and contractual evaluation, negotiation and recommendation for award, while coordinating the required technical evaluation and maintaining appropriate governance and records.Review, draft and negotiate subcontracts, purchase orders and site services terms to protect the Company’s commercial position.Analyse client contract obligations and prepare appropriate flow-down requirements, special conditions and risk allocation for vendors and subcontractors.Draft and finalise qualifications, deviations, amendments and negotiation positions, and resolve material vendor and subcontractor departures.Coordinate inputs from Legal, Compliance, Tax, Insurance, Finance, Procurement, technical, HSE, Quality and project stakeholders.Provide subcontract inputs to bid strategies, Proposal Risk Assessment Forms, commercial reviews, approvals and award recommendations.Manage subcontract performance and administration such as securities, insurances, warranties, KPIs and reporting. Draft and review ancillary agreements, including NDAs, MOUs, LOIs, novations, variations and amendments.Support subcontract planning, commercial evaluations, negotiations, award, contract handover and post-award administration, including claims and close-out.Maintain commercial records, support audits and KPIs, ensure compliance with Company procedures, and guide less experienced team members.ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:Degree or equivalent experience in Law, Commerce, Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Supply Chain, Business or a related discipline.Significant experience in subcontracts, procurement, contracts or commercial management within energy, oil and gas, engineering, construction or industrial services.Demonstrated ability to interpret prime contract requirements, develop flow-down provisions and negotiate complex subcontract terms.Experience across subcontract preparation, commercial evaluation, award, variations, claims and post-award administration.Experience in operations and maintenance, brownfield or greenfield projects, wells or engineering scopes is desirable.MENA experience is desirable. Engineers with strong site-based commercial or subcontracting experience are encouraged to apply.Strong drafting, negotiation, analytical, commercial judgement and stakeholder management skills.
