Principal Frontend Engineer

Our partner is looking for a Principal Frontend Platform Engineer to join their Frontend Platform organization. In this role, you will help build and evolve the core frontend libraries, frameworks, tools, and UI components that power multiple products across the organization.The team currently works primarily with Angular and Flutter and maintains a large-scale shared component library that plays a critical role in the company's product ecosystem.As a Principal Engineer, you will act as a senior technical expert, driving architectural decisions, solving complex engineering challenges, and designing scalable, maintainable solutions. Beyond hands-on development, you will mentor fellow engineers, contribute to technology strategy, and help establish engineering best practices across teams.Key ResponsibilitiesOwn and continuously improve shared frontend libraries, frameworks, and internal tooling used by multiple product teams.Contribute to the long-term technical vision and architecture of the frontend platform.Design scalable, reusable, and maintainable solutions that can be leveraged across various products.Develop high-quality, production-ready software.Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend the most appropriate solutions for technical challenges.Advocate for engineering excellence with a focus on performance, reliability, scalability, and maintainability.Provide technical mentorship and guidance to engineers across the organization.Facilitate knowledge sharing through design reviews, technical discussions, and presentations.Requirements10+ years of professional software engineering experience.Strong background in building large-scale frontend applications using modern frameworks such as Angular, React, Vue, or Flutter.Solid Angular expertise, or a strong willingness and ability to develop deep Angular knowledge quickly, as it is currently the primary frontend technology.Strong TypeScript skills and experience with modern frontend development practices.Good understanding of API integrations, backend systems, and software engineering best practices.Excellent problem-solving abilities and strong technical judgment.Experience leading technical discussions and mentoring engineers.Professional-level English communication skills.Nice to HaveExperience with Flutter, React, or Avalonia.Experience building and maintaining component libraries, design systems, or shared platform solutions.Experience driving technology modernization or migration initiatives.Background working in platform teams or multi-product organizations.Exposure to .NET and an understanding of full-stack development.Experience defining engineering standards and technical best practices.Contributions to the broader engineering community through conference speaking, open-source projects, technical publications, or similar activities.
