Principal Frontend Engineer – Tech Lead

We are looking for a Principal Frontend Engineer – Tech Lead to drive frontend engineering excellence across a growing ecosystem of complex enterprise applications.This is a hands-on technical leadership role for an experienced engineer who actively contributes to production code while defining frontend architecture, building reusable foundations, and establishing engineering best practices.You will lead frontend development across operational portals, workflow and case management systems, visual modelling tools, dynamic forms, control plane interfaces, and platform administration applications.The role involves working closely with engineering teams, product stakeholders, UX designers, and architects to deliver scalable, consistent, secure, and maintainable frontend solutions.Key ResponsibilitiesLead frontend engineering initiatives while remaining actively involved in daily development using TypeScript and Vue 3.Design and implement scalable frontend architectures, reusable components, and consistent application patterns.Build and maintain a shared component library and design system, including design tokens, Storybook, and Figma integration.Establish frontend engineering standards for component architecture, state management, routing, API integration, validation, and error handling.Define effective state management strategies covering local, application, and server state, caching, and data synchronization.Integrate frontend applications with REST/OpenAPI services, authentication mechanisms, and real-time communication using WebSockets and Server-Sent Events.Establish comprehensive testing strategies covering unit, component, integration, end-to-end, accessibility, and visual regression testing.Optimize frontend performance through bundle optimization, lazy loading, profiling, and Core Web Vitals improvements.Ensure frontend security best practices, accessibility compliance (WCAG), and client-side observability.Conduct code reviews, reduce technical debt, mentor engineers, and ensure the quality and maintainability of AI-generated code.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements and UX designs into reliable enterprise applications.Required Qualifications & Technical SkillsExtensive hands-on experience in frontend engineering and technical leadership, with a strong track record of delivering complex enterprise applications.Advanced proficiency in TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3.Strong experience with Vue 3, including Composition API, Single File Components, Vue Router, and Pinia. Strong React + TypeScript experience is also considered.Proven experience designing scalable frontend architectures, reusable component libraries, and design systems.Solid understanding of frontend state management, including client-side and server-side state, caching, and synchronization.Experience integrating REST APIs, OpenAPI specifications, and real-time communication technologies.Strong knowledge of modern frontend build tools, including Vite, Webpack, Rollup, or esbuild.Experience with frontend testing frameworks such as Vitest, Jest, Playwright, Cypress, or Testing Library.Understanding of frontend performance optimization, accessibility standards (WCAG), and responsive design.Knowledge of frontend security principles, including OAuth2/OIDC, JWT, XSS, CSRF, CSP, and CORS.Experience with CI/CD pipelines, code quality tools, and modern engineering practices.Strong technical leadership, mentoring, code review, and cross-functional collaboration skills.Ability to review, validate, and improve AI-generated frontend code.Nice-to-Have SkillsExperience with React, Redux Toolkit, Zustand, or TanStack Query.Experience with monorepo tooling such as Nx, Turborepo, or workspaces.Knowledge of SCSS, CSS Modules, Tailwind CSS, and advanced design system implementation.Experience with dynamic forms, JSON Schema, VeeValidate, Zod, or Yup.Familiarity with micro-frontends and module federation.Experience with identity platforms such as Keycloak.Knowledge of frontend observability tools such as Sentry, Datadog RUM, OpenTelemetry, or Grafana Faro.Experience with SonarQube, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Jenkins.Experience developing complex enterprise interfaces, including workflow systems, visual modelling tools, and administration platforms.
