Principal Logistics Specialist

About the RoleOur client is seeking a Principal Specialist, Logistics Overseas to provide subject matter expertise and leadership across international logistics activities supporting major project development and engineering initiatives. The role will be responsible for ensuring the efficient movement of imported materials, equipment, and project cargo through global supply networks while maintaining compliance, cost efficiency, and delivery reliability. The successful candidate will play a key role in optimizing transportation solutions, mitigating logistics risks, and enhancing supply chain performance across complex international operations.About the RequirementsDeliver reliable international logistics solutions to ensure timely movement of materials, equipment, and project cargo.Optimize freight and transportation arrangements to improve service performance and cost efficiency.Resolve complex logistics challenges that may impact project schedules or supply continuity.Manage ocean, air, and multimodal freight transportation activities across international markets.Monitor shipment progress and enhance visibility through proactive tracking and reporting.Coordinate with freight forwarders, customs brokers, suppliers, and project stakeholders to ensure smooth logistics operations.Ensure compliance with customs regulations, international trade requirements, and company logistics policies.Facilitate customs clearance activities and documentation processes to minimize delays.Identify, assess, and mitigate logistics risks affecting project schedules, costs, and delivery performance.Support the planning and execution of critical, oversized, and project cargo shipments.Drive continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen logistics resilience and operational excellence.Provide expert logistics guidance to procurement, engineering, and project execution teams.About YouBachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related discipline.8-10 years of experience in international logistics, freight management, transportation, or supply chain operations.Experience within mining, industrial operations, engineering, construction, energy, or large capital project environments.Strong knowledge of import/export operations, customs regulations, and international trade compliance.Proven experience managing logistics service providers, freight forwarders, and transportation partners.Strong expertise in project cargo coordination, logistics planning, and execution.Experience in logistics risk management, performance monitoring, and cost optimization initiatives.Excellent stakeholder management, negotiation, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.Demonstrated ability to provide technical leadership within complex logistics environments.Job Scams NoticeYour Safety and Data Security Matter to Us.Manpower Middle East is committed to a safe and transparent hiring process.
