Principal Mechanical Engineer – Multirotor UAVs

Location: Dubai Department: EngineeringReports to: Head of R&DAbout the CompanyI'm working with a cutting-edge UAV manufacturer pioneering Drone-In-a-Box (DIB) solutions for commercial, industrial, and defense applications.

We design and produce complete systems with direct control over mechanical design, electronics, and software, focusing on durability, efficiency, and innovation.The RoleAs Principal Mechanical Engineer, you will lead the development of multirotor UAVs and Drone-in-a-Box systems with integrated payloads. You will reorganize our mechanical engineering pipeline, establish efficient PLM/PDM processes, and help shape our next-generation DiB products.This is a hands-on, high-impact position in a fast-moving environment with minimal bureaucracy. You’ll test ideas quickly, see results fly, and contribute directly to building best-in-class products.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the mechanical design of drones and Drone-in-a-Box systemsTake full ownership of product design tasks from concept through productionEstablish and manage PTC Windchill as the single source of truth for BOMs, engineering data, and production documentationEnsure effective collaboration and process efficiency within WindchillDeliver repeatable, production-ready unitsDrive process improvements in the mechanical engineering pipelineQualifications & ExperienceBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Design, or a related fieldStrong experience designing multirotor UAVs, drone systems, or similar complex electromechanical productsHands-on experience with PTC Windchill, including setting up efficient PLM pipelines, PDM structures, and collaborative workflowsProficiency in SolidWorks and/or PTC CreoProven ability to establish clear, efficient engineering and documentation processesExcellent communication skills with the ability to generate, present, and defend technical ideasExperience transitioning designs into repeatable production units is highly desirableWhat's on OfferCompetitive salary Fast-paced, low-bureaucracy environment where you can iterate quickly and see tangible resultsOpportunity to shape next-generation UAV and DiB technologyDirect influence on product design and engineering processesCollaborative work with a focused engineering teamIf you are a hands-on mechanical engineering leader who thrives in a dynamic UAV environment and wants to build something exceptional, we would like to hear from you.
