Principal Software Engineer

Purpose of the job:The role involves developing, tuning, and validating audio solutions to ensure high-quality audio performance while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable and customer-focused infotainment systems.Job Responsibilities & Duties:Audio Control: Setup and management of audio routing, volume control, and stream prioritization across QNX and Android domains.Multizone Audio: Configure and test audio playback across multiple zones, ensuring isolation and synchronization.Bluetooth Profiles: Integrate and validate BT audio profiles (e.g., A2DP, HFP) across virtualized environments.Video Call Audio Support: Ensure proper audio routing and echo cancellation for video conferencing applications.Audio Channel Mapping: Configure input/output channels for microphones, speakers, and external devices.Microphone Configuration: Support for multiple microphone setups, including beamforming and noise suppression.Ducking Rules: Implement of audio ducking policies for prioritizing system or navigation prompts over media playback.Media Policy Handling: Define and enforce media policies across Android and QNX, including stream types, focus management, and audio interruptions.Education:A Bachelor's degree in Electronic Engineering /Computer Engineering /Computer Science or an equivalent combination of education/experience is required.Experience:5 Years of experience in Automotive software development.Skills and AbilitiesDeep understanding of Android audio stack: HAL, Audio Flinger, Audio Policy.Familiarity with Qualcomm audio stack: TinyALSA, Audio Reach architecture, graph.Experience with AOSP development tools (THEIA, lucky, Terminal Servers, git, Open Grok, OpenZFS).Very good English language (spoken and written) is requiredCandidates should have the flexibility to travel for work in different places inside or outside Egypt
