Printer Technician

Team members contribute directly to this mission by helping scale production and maintain high-quality standards in sustainable manufacturing.Role Description This is a temporary, on-site Printer Technician role based in Dubai. The Printer Technician will be responsible for configuring and maintaining an industrial digital inkjet or coding/marking printers — ideally systems using dual industrial printheads, PLC/servo motor control, and conveyor-fed / roll-to-roll substrate handling. Daily tasks include diagnosing and troubleshooting printer issues, performing routine maintenance, replacing parts and consumables, and ensuring minimal downtime for printing operations. The role also involves providing technical support to team members, coordinating with vendors or service providers as needed, and documenting service activities and equipment status. QualificationsDemonstrated hands-on experience installing and commissioning industrial digital inkjet, coding, or marking printers.Working knowledge of PLC and servo-driven control systems in a production or packaging environment.Experience calibrating industrial printheads and print registration/color setup (CMYK).Familiarity with pigment or water-based ink systems and ink delivery/pump setups.Experience with conveyor-fed or roll-to-roll printing/packaging equipment.Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.Comfortable working from technical manuals and manufacturer documentation.Ability to work on-site in Dubai and manage tasks independently with attention to detail and safety.Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with non-technical team members.Relevant technical certification or diploma in IT, electronics, or a related field is preferred.
