The charity values compassion, respect, and collaboration in all aspects of its work.Role Description The Prison Team Leader is a full-time, on-site role based in Liverpool, responsible for overseeing the delivery of support services within a prison setting. The role involves leading and supervising a team that works with people affected by substance use, housing issues, justice involvement, and other social challenges. Day-to-day tasks include allocating caseloads, providing guidance and coaching to team members, monitoring service quality, and ensuring that support plans are person-centered and outcome-focused. The Prison Team Leader will collaborate with prison staff, healthcare providers, and partner agencies to coordinate interventions, manage referrals, and maintain accurate records. The role also includes reporting on performance, contributing to continuous improvement, and promoting a safe, inclusive environment for both staff and people who use the service.Qualifications Demonstrated experience in leading or supervising a team within health, social care, criminal justice, or a related field.Strong skills in case management, risk assessment, and coordinating support plans for people with complex needs.Ability to build effective relationships with service users, colleagues, and partner agencies, using trauma-informed and non-judgmental approaches.Excellent communication, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution skills, with the ability to manage challenging situations in a prison environment.Good organizational and time-management abilities, including accurate record keeping and reporting against service targets.Understanding of safeguarding, confidentiality, and professional boundaries within justice and social care settings.Relevant qualification in social care, criminal justice, psychology, counselling, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.Ability to work on-site in Liverpool, pass necessary security clearances, and adhere to prison policies and procedures.
