The successful candidate must be genuinely strong in Indian cooking and able to prepare a wide range of dishes to a consistently high standard. This includes tandoori and grilled marinated meats, regional Indian dishes and correct use of spices and seasoning.Alongside Indian cuisine, the family is looking for a chef with genuine range across Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Thai, Lebanese and Middle Eastern cuisine.The family enjoys food that is healthy, high-protein and relatively low in carbohydrates, prepared with minimal oil while still delivering bold and vibrant flavour. Chilli, garlic, ginger, citrus and fresh herbs are important elements of the family's style of eating, with salads and vegetables treated as proper dishes in their own right.The role requires someone who is confident working independently within a private household, understands the standards expected in a UHNW environment and can adapt meals for different ages, preferences and dietary requirements.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare breakfast, lunch and dinner for the family on a daily basis.Take full responsibility for the quality, consistency and presentation of all meals.Prepare authentic and high-quality Indian cuisine, including tandoori dishes, grilled marinated meats and regional specialities.Prepare a wide range of Pan-Asian and Middle Eastern cuisine, including Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Thai, Lebanese and Middle Eastern dishes.Prepare high-quality chargrilled proteins, fresh fish and seafood.Make homemade sauces, dips, pickles and other accompaniments.Create healthy, high-protein and relatively low-carbohydrate meals using minimal oil without compromising on flavour.Prepare fresh salads and vegetable dishes as substantial and well-balanced parts of meals.Plan weekly menus around the family's preferences, schedule and dietary requirements.Adapt meals for specific dietary requirements, including dairy-free and egg-free meals.Prepare appropriate and nutritious meals for a two-year-old, with an understanding of children's dietary needs.Source and purchase high-quality, fresh ingredients and manage grocery requirements.Manage kitchen stock, supplies and equipment.Maintain excellent standards of food hygiene, cleanliness and kitchen organisation.Minimise food waste while maintaining high standards of freshness and quality.Maintain complete discretion, confidentiality and professionalism within the family home.About YouProven experience as a Private Chef, Personal Chef, Household Chef or Chef within an established high-end restaurant.Strong Indian cuisine experience is essential.Demonstrable expertise in tandoori cooking, grilled marinated meats, regional Indian dishes and correct use of spices.Genuine range across Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Thai, Lebanese and Middle Eastern cuisine is highly desirable.Strong experience with grilled and chargrilled proteins, fish and seafood.Confident preparing homemade sauces, dips, pickles and fresh accompaniments.Experience preparing healthy, high-protein meals with relatively low carbohydrate content and minimal oil.Comfortable cooking for both adults and young children.Knowledge of dietary requirements, food allergies and alternative meal preparation.Highly organised, reliable and detail-oriented.Comfortable working independently and taking full ownership of the kitchen.Professional, discreet and respectful of household privacy.
