Job Title: Private Home Tutor & Life CoachContract Type: 1-Year Contract (Renewable)Reports To: Principal / Family OfficeLocation: Hong Kong (with extensive international travel)Start Date: ASAPAbout the roleA prestigious UHNW family is seeking an exceptional, passionate, and inspiring Private Home Tutor & Life Coach to provide holistic educational and developmental support to their children on a 1-year renewable contract . This is not a traditional tutoring role—it is a unique opportunity to serve as a mentor, life coach, and guide who will inspire the children to love learning, explore the world, develop social communication skills, and grow into confident, curious, and well-rounded individuals.The ideal candidate will be highly educated, globally minded, and possess a natural ability to connect with children and motivate them to reach their full potential, both academically and personally.Key ResponsibilitiesAcademic & Educational SupportProvide personalised, one-on-one academic tutoring in core subjects (aligned with the children's school curriculum)Develop customised lesson plans and learning materials tailored to each child's learning style, pace, and interestsSupport homework completion, exam preparation, and school projectsMonitor academic progress and provide regular feedback to parents on development and areas for improvementLife Coaching & Personal DevelopmentServe as a life coach and mentor , helping children build confidence, resilience, and emotional intelligenceInspire curiosity and a love for learning by introducing new ideas, subjects, and experiencesEncourage the development of social communication skills , including effective verbal and non-verbal communication, active listening, and interpersonal skillsGuide children in setting and achieving personal goals, both academic and extracurricularFoster independence, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilitiesTravel & Global ExposureAccompany the family on international travels , providing educational support and continuity of learning on the roadDesign and implement immersive, travel-based learning experiences —visiting museums, historical sites, cultural landmarks, and engaging with local communitiesEncourage children to explore the world, embrace different cultures, and develop a global perspectiveAdapt teaching methods and schedules to different time zones and travel itinerariesExtracurricular & Personal DevelopmentPlan and facilitate age-appropriate enrichment activities, including arts, music, sports, and creative projectsEncourage participation in extracurricular activities that align with the children's interests and talentsSupport the children in developing hobbies and exploring new skills (e.g., languages, sports, music, coding, debating)Act as a positive role model, demonstrating passion, curiosity, and a growth mindsetCommunication & CoordinationMaintain open and regular communication with parents on the children's progress, challenges, and achievementsCollaborate with other household staff (e.g., nannies, drivers, household manager) to ensure a cohesive approach to the children's developmentProvide written progress reports and updates as requiredFlexibility & AdaptabilityBe flexible to adapt to the family's dynamic schedule , including weekends, holidays, and travelEmbrace an active, on-the-go lifestyle and be comfortable with frequent travel and changing environmentsDemonstrate cultural sensitivity and adaptability when engaging with diverse communities around the worldQualifications & RequirementsEducation & ExperienceBachelor's degree in Education, Child Development, Psychology, or a related field (Master's preferred)Minimum 3–5 years of experience in private tutoring, teaching, mentoring, or coaching roles—ideally with UHNW familiesProven experience in designing and implementing personalised learning programmesExperience working with children across different age groupsSkills & CompetenciesExcellent academic knowledge across core subjects (English, Maths, Science, Humanities)Strong bilingual communication skills: Fluent in Chinese (Mandarin/Cantonese) and English (both written and spoken)Special skills in one or more areas: e.g., arts, music, sports, coding, languages, debating, public speaking, or another talent that can enrich the children's developmentPassionate and outgoing , with a natural ability to inspire and engage childrenEmotionally intelligent , patient, and empathetic—able to connect with children and understand their individual needsFlexible, adaptable, and resilient —comfortable with frequent travel and changing schedulesGlobal exposure —lived, studied, or worked internationally, with a deep appreciation for different cultures and
