The tutor will deliver one-to-one lessons tailored to each student’s goals, covering subjects aligned with their expertise at pre-GCSE, GCSE, A-level, and/or university preparation levels. Day-to-day responsibilities include planning and structuring lessons, creating personalised learning materials, assessing student progress, and providing regular feedback to students and parents or guardians. The tutor will collaborate with Veritas Education staff to align teaching with organisational standards, maintain accurate records of sessions, and uphold high professional and ethical standards. The role also involves staying current with exam board specifications and educational best practices to ensure teaching remains effective and relevant.QualificationsA/A*s in A-levels and GCSEs.Proven teaching or tutoring skills, including lesson planning, clear explanation of complex concepts, and the ability to adapt teaching methods to different learning styles.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust, motivate students, and maintain professional relationships with parents and guardians.Organisational and time-management abilities, including reliable scheduling, accurate session documentation, and consistent follow-up on student progress.Experience with exam preparation (e.g., GCSEs, A-levels, university admissions) and familiarity with relevant curricula and assessment frameworks.Commitment to student wellbeing and safeguarding, with awareness of appropriate professional boundaries and standards in education settings.Ability to work independently on-site in London while collaborating effectively with the wider Veritas Education team.Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant discipline; prior formal or informal teaching/tutoring experience is highly beneficial.
