Team members collaborate closely with families and students to deliver high-impact, results-oriented educational experiences.Role Description This is a full-time Private Tutor role based in Singapore with a hybrid work arrangement, combining in-person sessions with some work-from-home flexibility. The Private Tutor will design and deliver personalized lesson plans, provide one-on-one academic instruction across relevant subjects, and prepare students for school examinations and admissions assessments. Daily responsibilities include diagnosing learning needs, tracking progress, assigning and reviewing homework, and offering regular feedback to both students and families. The role also involves coordinating schedules, maintaining accurate records of sessions and outcomes, and collaborating with Scion Development’s education strategists to align tutoring with broader academic and admissions goals.Qualifications Strong subject-matter expertise in core academic areas (e.g., Mathematics, English, Sciences, Humanities) and familiarity with local and international curricula.Demonstrated skills in lesson planning, individualized instruction, and assessment of student learning.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to build rapport with students and engage families professionally.Ability to adapt teaching methods to different learning styles and to work effectively in both in-person and remote settings.Experience supporting high-achieving or high-potential students, ideally within competitive school or admissions environments.Strong organizational and time-management skills, with reliability in scheduling and follow-through.Bachelor’s degree in Education, a subject-specific field, or related discipline; formal teaching or tutoring experience is highly preferred.Commitment to inclusive, non-discriminatory educational practices and maintaining confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
