EduDoorstep connects students seeking support with tutors looking for meaningful teaching roles in a secure and convenient way.Role Description The Private Tutor role at EduDoorstep is a full-time, on-site position based in Delhi, India. The tutor will provide individualized academic support to students, including lesson planning, concept explanation, assignment guidance, and exam preparation across assigned subjects and grade levels. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting in-person sessions, assessing student performance, tailoring teaching methods to different learning styles, and maintaining clear records of progress. The tutor will communicate regularly with parents or guardians about student development, attend occasional training or coordination meetings, and follow EduDoorstep’s policies for professionalism, safety, and conduct. The role also involves using the platform’s tools to manage schedules, respond to tuition requirements, and optimize time across multiple learners as needed.Qualifications Strong subject-matter expertise in relevant school or college-level subjects, with the ability to explain concepts clearly and adapt to different curricula.Demonstrated teaching, tutoring, or coaching experience, including skills in lesson planning, classroom or session management, and student engagement.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust with students and parents and provide constructive feedback.Ability to assess learning needs, track progress, and use basic assessment tools or methods to guide instruction and improvement.Comfort working on-site in Delhi, India, with strong time management, reliability, and professional conduct during all sessions.Basic digital literacy for using EduDoorstep’s platform and tools, including managing schedules and responding to tuition leads.Bachelor’s degree or ongoing enrollment in Education or relevant subject area; advanced degrees or teaching certifications are an advantage.Experience with local boards (CBSE/ICSE/State boards) or competitive exam preparation (e.g., JEE, NEET, entrance tests) is highly beneficial.
