It offers broad exposure to all aspects of a sophisticated wealth management practice, including financial planning, investment management, client service, and firm operations. Working closely with Private Wealth Advisors, firm Partners, the CIO, and Client Service professionals, the Paraplanner will develop a strong foundation in how wealth management strategies are built, implemented and delivered to high-net-worth clients. This role is ideal for someone intellectually curious, motivated to learn, and ready to take on a meaningful responsibility early in their career. Key Responsibilities
Financial Planning & Advisor SupportSupport advisors in the preparation and implementation of comprehensive financial plans and select work in preparation for client meetings.Develop proficiency in eMoney including data updates, assumptions, and onboarding new clients.Develop a working knowledge of the firm’s planning philosophy, investment approach, and service model.Investment Management SupportAssist with portfolio analysis, investment research, and performance reporting.Contribute to the development of an enhanced proposal and reporting system.Support the CIO and Advisors on investment-related projects.Conduct basic investment research as requested.Help maintain data integrity across custodial and portfolio management systems.Assist advisors with plan reviews and ongoing monitoring.Stay current on economic and market developments and provide analysis as requested. Client Service & CollaborationServe as a resource and bridge between Advisors and the Client Service team.Support preparation for client meetings, presentations, and follow-up deliverables.Technology, Operations, Practice Management Participate in firm initiatives focused on improving the client experience and operational efficiency.Assist with technology evaluation and implementation, including AI-enabled tools.Support internal projects, reporting automation, and process improvements.Assist with compliance, documentation, and adherence to firm workflows and best practices.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business, or related field.Internship experience in finance or wealth management preferred.Strong analytical, quantitative, organizational and time-management skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint.Experience with financial planning or portfolio software a plus.Interest in pursuing FINRA licensing (Series 7, 66) and/or professional credentials (CFP®, CFA®, or similar) preferred.Knowledge of financial industry and investment products preferred.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Ability to work independently and effectively in a team environment.
