Oil & Gas Division is seeking a Process Engineer to be based at our office in Al Khobar, Saudi Arabia.This position covers process engineering, providing support across multiple projects and ensuring consistency, quality, and technical excellence throughout the project portfolio.The role requires a senior professional with strong expertise in process design for upstream and downstream facilities, extensive experience using process simulation tools, and the ability to lead teams, interface with Clients, and safeguard the technical integrity of process design solutions.Purpose of the role and main responsibilities:Define process engineering criteria, design philosophies, and technical approaches for upstream and downstream facilities.Execute and review key process deliverables during Concept, FEED, and Basic Design phases.Execute, review and validate Detailed Design deliverables for large-scale EPC projects.Develop, review, and validate process simulations and models using industry-standard tools (e.g. Aspen HYSYS, Aspen Plus, gPROMS, Petro-SIM or equivalent).Lead the preparation and review of Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), heat and material balances, and process datasheets.Support the design of upstream facilities (including wellhead facilities, separation, gas treating, compression, and produced water handling).Support the design of downstream facilities (including refining processes, gas processing, stabilization, and related offsite systems).Perform and review key process studies, including process optimization, hydraulic calculations, relief and flare studies, and operability assessments.Support project teams in resolving complex technical issues and managing process-related design deviations.Act as the primary process technical interface with Clients, licensors, and regulatory authorities, if required.Participate in technical reviews, workshops, HAZID/HAZOP sessions, and high-level technical presentations.Support Project Management in technical risk assessment and decision-making processes.If required, act as the process engineering discipline lead across assigned projects.Main requirements for the role:Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering.IQAMA needed.Minimum 8 years of professional experience in Oil & Gas, hydrocarbons, or power projects.Registered with the Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE).SCE Professional Grade: Professional.Proven experience as a process designer on upstream and downstream facilitiesStrong hands-on experience with process simulation tools, such as Aspen HYSYS, Aspen Plus, gPROMS, Petro-SIM, or similar.Previous experience on engineering consultancy.
