The intern will help align the engineering process and make the engineering design system more efficient. MindOx Engineering researches, designs, develops and tests semiconductor equipment, with team members in Malaysia, Sri Lanka and India. HR's task is to source and shortlist candidates who match the profile below; final selection rests with the Engineering Director. Map the current engineering design workflow end to end: design requests, reviews, design release, change management and handoff to manufacturing.Align the engineering process fully with the ISO processMeasure where engineering time goes and identify bottlenecks, rework and duplicated effort.Review the tools and templates the team uses and propose consolidation or standardizationPropose, pilot and measure two or three specific process improvements.Write clear SOPs, process maps and templates.Set up a small set of process metrics the Engineering Director can keep tracking after the internship.By the end of 6 months, the intern should leave behind documented processes and measurable improvements, not only recommendations. Candidate profileUndergraduate (final or pre-final year) or recent graduate in an engineering discipline. Preferred fields, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering.Understands how engineering work is done: drawings, design reviews, BOMs, revisions. Practical exposure through projects or a prior placement is enough.Strong written and spoken English (Important). Structured thinker who can turn a messy situation into a clear process map or checklist.Comfortable approaching senior engineers to ask how they work, and doing so respectfully.Coursework or projects in lean, Six Sigma, operations management or work study.Exposure to CAD, PLM or engineering change management.Basic scripting or automation (Python, Excel macros, Power Automate).Prior internship in a manufacturing, engineering or product-development company. Not a fitCandidates looking mainly for a software development or pure design role.Candidates who can only commit part-time or for fewer than 6 months.
