Process Safety Advisor - Emiratisation

Job Purpose: To support the HSEQ Manager in establishing and maintaining the Process Safety Management (PSM) system, delivering process safety training and audits, preparing required documentation, performance reports, and reviewing process safety records in compliance with corporate HSE requirements, regulatory expectations, and industry best practices.The Process Safety Advisor will facilitate and support process safety incident investigations, root cause analyses (RCA), training sessions, HAZOP studies, and Management of Change (MOC) activities. The role is also responsible for leading the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the Process Safety and Risk Management Programme, aligned with the organisation's HSE strategy and Operational Excellence framework, ensuring design integrity, technical integrity, and operational integrity throughout the asset lifecycle.Principal Accountabilities:Develop and maintain the Process Safety Management (PSM) FrameworkEstablish and monitor Process Safety KPIsEnsure alignment of the PSM framework with the corporate HSE Management SystemLead and support process safety incident investigations using recognised Root Cause Analysis methodologiesSupport the development and maintenance of Fire Pre-Incident Plans and participate in emergency drills and tabletop exerciseDevelop and maintain the Corporate Risk Management ProcedureEstablish and sustain the Management of Change (MOC) process, including Pre-Startup Safety Reviews (PSSR) and Facility Siting assessmentsDevelop and maintain Process Safety standards, procedures, specifications, guidelines and assurance plans aligned with Operational Excellence principles.Operational Responsibilities:Participate in incident investigations, Root Cause Analyses (RCA) and emergency response exercisesProvide Process Safety support to Operations, Engineering, Maintenance and HSEQ teamsCarry out any other duties assigned by the HSEQ Manager or senior managementMinimum Requirements:Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical or Instrumentation Engineering.Minimum of 20 years' experience within the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical or Petroleum industry.At least 10 years' proven experience developing, implementing and sustaining Process Safety Management and Risk Management programmes.Extensive experience in design reviews and development of HSEQ standards, procedures and specifications.Relevant certifications or diplomas in Process Safety, Risk Management or EHSSQ.Process Safety certifications (e.g. CCPS, IChemE, NEBOSH Process Safety, or equivalent) are advantageous.
