Procurement & Product Development Watches

One of the retail operations is seeking to hire Procurement & Product development professional in Watches segment.The role will be responsible for identifying, developing, and managing reliable international suppliers for watch movements, components, assemblies, cases, dials, hands, and finished watch production. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the development and production of both in-house and independent watch brands.This is an ideal opportunity for a commercially driven watch-industry professional who combines deep technical knowledge, global supplier relationships, sourcing expertise, and a genuine passion for watches.Key ResponsibilitiesSource and develop international suppliers for watch movements, components, assemblies, and finished manufacturing requirements.Build and maintain a strong global network across the complete watch supply chain, including movement manufacturers, component suppliers, case/dial/hand manufacturers, assembly houses, and specialist vendors.Identify the most suitable suppliers and manufacturing locations based on quality, pricing, capabilities, capacity, and lead times.Research and evaluate on international watch manufacturing and assembly partners.Benchmark suppliers and negotiate competitive pricing, quality standards, payment terms, MOQs, lead times, and other commercial conditions.Conduct supplier due diligence, capability assessments, and ongoing performance evaluations.Support new watch development by advising on component selection, sourcing options, manufacturing feasibility, supplier capabilities, and production locations.Work closely with product development and design teams to translate watch concepts into commercially and technically viable products.Develop and maintain long-term strategic relationships with key manufacturers and suppliers.Identify opportunities to improve sourcing efficiency, product quality, cost competitiveness, and supply-chain reliability.Required Candidate profile: Proven experience in watch sourcing, watch manufacturing, product development, procurement, or supplier management within the watch industry.Strong understanding of the end-to-end watch manufacturing ecosystem and international supplier landscape.Solid knowledge of watch movements, watch components, assemblies, and manufacturing processes.Established relationships or a strong network with international watch manufacturers, component suppliers, and assembly houses will be highly advantageous.Experience working with suppliers across Switzerland, China/Far East, and other major watch manufacturing markets.Strong commercial acumen with the ability to evaluate suppliers based on quality, pricing, technical capability, capacity, and lead time.Ability to travel internationally for supplier visits, sourcing, factory evaluations, and business development.Strong understanding of current watch-industry trends and developments.Genuine passion for watches, with a strong interest in movements, manufacturing, brands, and emerging industry trends.Candidate across the globe are welcome to apply, only if they have willingness to relocate to UAE
