Procurement Assistant

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Procurement Assistant to join our building construction team in the UAE. The successful candidate will support the procurement department by managing purchase orders, coordinating with suppliers, and ensuring timely delivery of materials to facilitate uninterrupted project progress.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing and processing purchase orders and procurement documents. - Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to obtain quotes and ensure timely delivery of materials. - Maintain accurate records of inventory and procurement activities. - Support the procurement team in vendor evaluation and relationship management. - Monitor stock levels and communicate requirements to the procurement manager. - Ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards in all procurement activities. - Collaborate with project managers to understand material requirements and delivery schedules. - Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field. - Prior experience in procurement or supply chain, preferably within the building construction industry. - Strong organizational and time management skills with keen attention to detail. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with suppliers and internal teams. - Proficient in MS Office and procurement software. - Ability to multitask and work under pressure to meet tight deadlines. - A proactive attitude and willingness to learn and grow within the procurement field. -Must be currently based in the UAE -Knowledge of SAP and Oracle is an advantage.
