Apply & track with Apply EdgeRole Description We are seeking an analytical, detail-oriented, and proactive Procurement Assistant / Procurement Coordinator / Procurement Executive to facilitate end-to-end purchasing workflows, support supplier negotiations, and safeguard corporate procurement compliance. In this entry-to-mid level role, you will report directly to the Procurement Manager, Purchasing Lead, or Supply Chain Director and collaborate closely with Logistics, Warehouse Operations, Finance, Legal, and External Suppliers. You will be responsible for administering daily purchasing activities, converting purchase requisitions into approved purchase orders (POs), monitoring supplier fulfillment lead times, and maintaining structured vendor registries. Responsibilities include evaluating Request for Quotation (RFQ) submissions, conducting comparative cost analyses, performing 3-way matching audits against receiving documentation, managing vendor scorecard metrics, tracking safety stock replenishment levels, and resolving delivery or pricing disputes. Success in this position requires strong commercial acumen, analytical precision, proficiency in enterprise ERP systems and advanced spreadsheet modeling, clear negotiation capabilities, and strict adherence to ethical procurement governance.QualificationsEducation: Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field. Professional certifications (e.g., CIPS or APICS foundations) are considered a plus. Procurement Operations & Order Processing: 1–2 years of practical experience supporting procurement cycles, issuing purchase orders, matching purchase requisitions, and auditing vendor invoices against delivery receipts. Supplier Sourcing & Cost Analysis: Proven ability to execute RFQ/RFP processes, build comparative supplier pricing grids, negotiate basic payment and commercial terms, and analyze Total Cost of Ownership (TCO). Vendor Performance Management: Experience monitoring supplier key performance indicators (KPIs), evaluating delivery timeliness and defect rates, tracking service level agreement (SLA) compliance, and maintaining vendor master data. Inventory & Replenishment Support: Solid understanding of inventory control parameters, reorder point calculation, safety stock maintenance, and material requirement planning (MRP) fundamentals. ERP & Procurement Software: Hands-on experience using modern ERP procurement modules and inventory tools (e.g., SAP, Oracle NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics 365, Odoo, or Zoho Inventory). Spreadsheet Proficiency & Analytics: Intermediate-to-advanced skills in Microsoft Excel / Google Sheets (VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, SUMIFS, and data validation) to compile spend analytics, price variance reports, and procurement trackers. Ethical Governance & Compliance: High ethical standards, strict adherence to anti-bribery standards, corporate approval matrices, and audit readiness for internal and external reviews. Communication & Commercial Negotiation: Clear written and verbal communication skills to correspond with suppliers, negotiate commercial terms, and collaborate effectively with internal finance and operations teams.
