This position is responsible for sourcing, purchasing, and coordinating the timely delivery of materials, equipment, and services that support manufacturing operations and project execution.The ideal candidate has a strong background in procurement, supplier management, and purchasing within a manufacturing, industrial, or construction environment.Key ResponsibilitiesSource materials, equipment, and services while securing competitive pricing and reliable delivery.Review purchase requisitions, obtain vendor quotes, and issue purchase orders.Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers while onboarding new vendors.Coordinate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Inventory Control, Production, Field Operations, and Accounts Payable to ensure material requirements are met.Monitor supplier performance, shipment schedules, quality, and invoice resolution.Support project teams with material planning and procurement strategies.Identify opportunities to reduce costs, improve supplier performance, and streamline procurement processes.Escalate supply chain risks and material shortages as needed.Maintain accurate purchasing records while handling confidential business information with professionalism.Qualifications5–10 years of progressive purchasing or procurement experience.Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.Experience purchasing direct materials in a manufacturing, industrial, or construction environment.Strong knowledge of purchase orders, requisitions, vendor management, and procurement best practices.Excellent negotiation, analytical, organizational, and communication skills.Ability to read construction drawings or blueprints and collaborate effectively with engineering teams.Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.Experience with Viewpoint software is preferred.Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.Work EnvironmentThis is primarily an onsite office position with occasional exposure to manufacturing and construction environments.
