Role DescriptionA Procurement Director is responsible for leading procurement strategy, strategic sourcing, supplier management, purchasing operations, and cost optimization while ensuring reliable supply and strong commercial performance.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement procurement strategies, policies, and procedures.Oversee sourcing, purchasing, tendering, and supplier selection.Manage supplier relationships, contracts, and performance.Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and commercial agreements.Monitor procurement costs, KPIs, savings, and overall performance.Identify cost-reduction and value-optimization opportunities.Oversee purchase orders, quotations, bids, and tenders.Coordinate procurement activities with finance, operations, and project teams.Monitor suppliers, market prices, materials, and industry trends.Identify supply risks and develop alternative sourcing strategies.Ensure compliance with procurement policies and applicable regulations.Manage procurement budgets, spending, forecasts, and cost controls.Improve procurement processes, systems, and operational efficiency.Prepare procurement reports, performance analysis, and management recommendations.Lead, manage, and develop the procurement team.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.Extensive experience in procurement, purchasing, or strategic sourcing.Strong knowledge of supplier, contract, and tender management.Excellent negotiation and commercial management skills.Strong analytical, cost-control, and decision-making abilities.Good understanding of procurement policies, processes, and compliance.Experience with SAP, Oracle, ERP, or e-procurement systems.Strong supplier relationship and procurement risk management skills.Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management abilities.Ability to manage budgets, priorities, and demanding deadlines.CIPS, CPSM, or relevant professional certification is advantageous.UAE/GCC procurement experience is advantageous.Professional, ethical, organized, proactive, and results-oriented.
