LocationProject Site / Office (as assigned)Contract DurationInitial one-year assignment, subject to project requirements.Job PurposeThe Procurement Engineer will be responsible for managing the end-to-end procurement cycle for EPC project materials, Long Lead Items, equipment, and subcontracted services. The role ensures timely procurement, cost optimization, compliance with project specifications, and adherence to project schedules to support successful project execution.Key ResponsibilitiesExecute procurement activities in accordance with project requirements, company procedures, and client specifications.Prepare and issue Requests for Quotation (RFQs) to approved vendors and contractors.Conduct technical and commercial bid evaluations in coordination with engineering, construction, and project teams.Negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, payment terms, and contractual conditions.Prepare purchase orders and procurement recommendations for management approval.Monitor supplier performance to ensure compliance with contractual obligations.Coordinate with engineering, planning, QA/QC, logistics, and construction teams to ensure timely material delivery.Track procurement status and provide regular progress reports.Identify and mitigate procurement risks that may impact project schedules.Maintain procurement records, vendor databases, and documentation.Support project cost control initiatives through effective sourcing strategies.Ensure compliance with applicable HSE, quality, and ethical procurement standards.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Industrial, or related discipline).Professional procurement certifications (CIPS, CPM, or equivalent) are preferred.ExperienceMinimum 15 years of procurement experience with reputed EPC Contractors.At least 5 years of experience in EPC, Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Power, Infrastructure, or Industrial Projects.Demonstrated experience handling long-lead and critical project equipment procurement.Experience with international and local sourcing and supplier management.Key CompetenciesProcurement and contract management.Commercial negotiation skills.Vendor evaluation and management.Knowledge of EPC procurement workflows.Cost analysis and budgeting.Communication and stakeholder management.ERP systems (SAP or equivalent).Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
